Playa de Las Americas is one of the most popular tourist areas in the whole of Tenerife and is located at the island's south-eastern extreme, it offers fabulous sandy beaches and a modern holiday infrastructure. It tends to be very popular particularly with the younger generation.

Most of the beaches tend to be man made and are protected from erosion by breakwaters making the coast effectively a series of small protected coves, laden with sun beds and umbrellas alongside stretches of open beach ideal for strolling or playing with the family

This area of Tenerife is where you will find most of the water activities including surfing, jet-skiing, hang-gliding paracending, diving, snorkelling, and windsurfing.

Playa de Las Americas is surrounded and protected by the hills and mountain that rise gently from the sea and is Tenerife's most popular resort and boasts an array of world class facilities, with its selection of beautiful, sandy beaches, cafés and bars to its venues offering live entertainment and cabaret.

There is no shortage of places to eat with varied cuisines to suit every national palate
from fish and chips to excellent local cuisine.
